Municipal LawLitigation can pose significant costs to towns, cities and governmental bodies. We approach cases in manners that seek to provide proactive advice in order to avoid litigation whenever possible. We strive to work with elected and other governmental officials in order to help guide their actions and decision-making processes to prevent exposure to lawsuits and to resolve disputes quickly when they arise. When litigation is inevitable, we are prepared to handle matters with efficiency, utmost professionalism, and diligence. Ben has advised government entities in adopting and enforcing zoning, land use, and other ordinances and municipal charters.

Ben has advised municipalities in land use planning and regulation, zoning, code enforcement cases, tax assessing, tax abatement and appeal processes, and tax increment financing matters. He has represented both governmental bodies and private entities in court and administrative litigation. In addition to his practice experience, Ben has served on and chaired municipal boards and committees, giving him first-hand experience and insight into how such matters are perceived by appointed, elected, and other governmental officials.
